Data protection, privacy and associated matters
|
To comply with data protection legislation, as from the 25th May 2018 any company,
business or organisation that holds any "personal data" about you
(and "personal data" may be simply your name) has to provide information on:
- Your rights in relation to the information held about you.
- The types of data collected, how it is used and how long it will be kept for.
- The legal grounds for how that data is used.
For the purpose of this legislation, we are considered to be a business and if you are:
- the leaseholder of any flat in a block we manage
or
- the tenant of any property we own,
your information is covered by the new rules. This means we have to inform you of our reasons
for holding this data, what we do with it and any other relevant information. You can see or download
our privacy policy here.
This Statement of Policy relates to lettings, management and associated activities undertaken by
both LettingsDirect.com ltd and also to those activities when undertaken by Tim Taylor and/or
Susan Taylor personally.
The amount of data we hold about you will be quite small if you are the owner of a flat in a block
which we manage. We may have more information if you are the occupying tenant of a house or flat.
However the policy statement has to cover all eventualities so is necessarily complex and lengthy.
It is however important and you should read it carefully.
